Banshee Elementary by jxtreme42 Banshee Elementary by jxtreme42
Thinking of how Banshee would look like as an elementary app.

Update: Changed it around a bit, added menus, made shuffle/repeat buttons, added playlist add button in sidebar. The menu for shuffle is displayed on a right click. Also made seek buttons darker--don't really like them what do you think?

I like your shuffle/repeat icons, can u make them in 16 px svg format pls? by the way i tested your idea about shuffle/repeat this is how rhythm-e look so far: [link]

They're not actually 16px, more like 18 by 15px, is that ok? I can scale them down them a a bit if you want. Rhythm-e looks great.

really nice really interesting i like how you pushed the details so far.
i particularly like the shuffle/repeat button placement. The sound scale in the compact menu is smart too.
Well done i might take some ideas for rhythm-e

Thanks, no one has realized the amount of detail I put into this :)
I was actually thinking of moving the shuffle repeat or changing their appearance; they don't really fit in with the toolbar icons. Yeah danrabbit liked the sound adjustment placement too.

Is this purely concept design, or is this something you have that is working within the Banshee app?

I've been working on something that looks similar to this for Gmusicbrowser, as I haven't figured out the method of modifying the Banshee appearance.

It's purely concept. I don't know C# or any programming language for that matter, but it's on my list.

If Banshee wasn't so unstable on my system (constantly locking up) I would like explore the possibility of modifying Banshee's UI to reflect your concept. Maybe I'll give Banshee another try sometime soon and see if I still have problems with stability. ;)
